I AM's Actors

We are I AM's Actors ... that's apostrophe-s, not "I am Actors" or "Iams Actors"!  Our name comes from Exodus 3:14 where God is sending out Moses and tells him "I am who I am ... I AM has sent me to you".   Our mission is to spread the love of Christ through drama and performance art. 

 

We started in 2008 as a semi-independent ministry of Park Central Baptist Church in Dallas, TX.  In the short time that we have been together, the great I AM has literally sent us out. We have performed in several venues across the Dallas area, Texas, Missouri and most recently in El Salvador.

 

We currently have eight members of our group:

 

Hayley Cantrell - Has been acting since she was a little girl. Hayley is an amazing actress with a wide range of abilities. She can be very funny one minute and very serious the next. She is our prayer warrior and she is not afraid to preach the word. We are extremely blessed to have Hayley as a part of our group.

 

Jennifer Pusateri - Actors are a somewhat emotional, and high-strung group of people but Jennifer keeps us grounded. She is very good at making sure we're following the scripts and the schedule and she isn't afraid to tell us to sit-down and listen! She is also an excellent actress with a very wide range and the ability to be really flexible when someone (Chris) flubs a line!  She plays very well off of Hayley.

 

Jimmy Carson - is our "old man" and we love him. Jimmy does a great job of keeping up with us whippersnappers and teaches us a few things too. We enjoy having him around. Jimmy plays our father figures. He does a great job of speaking with authority.

 

Brittany Hamaker -  Brittany has been in our group since the beginning in 2008. She recently graduated Pierce High School in Richardson, TX and will be leaving the area to attend Hardin-Simmons University in the fall. We hope to have Brittany back for our 2012 tour.

 

Jim Whisenhunt - Jim joined our group in 2010 and played roles in A Giving Story, The Greatest Commandments, and in our El Salvador training program. Jim is quiet but when he speaks he always has something profound to say. That or something really funny.

 

Mike Anzick - Mike joined our group just recently and traveled with us to El Salvador. He has quite a bit of prior experience in acting and screenwriting. Mike recently became a Christian and joining our group has helped him to learn more about following Christ. God used Mike is great ways in El Salvador, because he was willing to go! We look forward to seeing how God continues to use Mike in our group and in our church.

 

Jennifer Brown - Jennifer has played a support role to the group since the beginning but joined as a full member when we had extra female roles in A Giving Story and The Greatest Commandments. She also joined us on our trip to El Salvador.

 

Chris Brown - has been acting since highschool in various roles. Chris worked as a member of Possum Kingdom Resort Ministries for 4 summers and used many of those ideas in the formation of I AM's Actors. He has also been in various other acting roles or drama teaching roles. In the group he mostly annoys people with stupid jokes, but when he's not doing that he enjoys writing scripts and playing male roles.
